![]() I believe that one can play this game while watching football, cricket or any other sport, since a lot of time in the game is spent on waiting for the enemies to get into a position from where you can kill without being spotted. The animations of the bullet destroying different parts of the body was gory and fun to watch. I enjoyed the stealth in the game the most, where one has to be patient and look for the right moment to attack (or avoid) to prevent oneself from getting overwhelmed by the enemies. I loved the game mechanic where the sniper can "slow time down" by holding his breath, and the innovative ways by which enemies can be killed. I spent close to 40 hours on the 8 missions in the game, and one can multitask while playing this game. Playing with stealth, which requires a lot of patience, is an important component of the game. The game is definitely not Serious Sam, but there are a large number of enemies in the game who will overpower you if you are careless and revel your position. I took my time to understand the terrain, the soldiers, their movements, and after a point of time, tried to play as a ghost (without being spotted even once throughout the missions). The AI was decent, although it was a little strange when soldiers see a dead colleague, spend less than 5 minutes looking for the perpetrator, and then go back to normal as if nothing happened, while the corpse of their colleague lies in front of them. The first 3 minutes explain the game mechanic and the different types of kills you can do, and once you start tagging your enemies and killing them, one tends to look for innovative ways to kill the enemies. There is not a lot in the story, but the gameplay is enjoyable. The gameplay is super simple, where the player plays as a sniper who has been inserted deep behind enemy lines in Italy during the second World War, and is given missions to complete in the game. (basically logged in to work on the PC and played the game on the side. ![]() Christmas time meant that a lot of my colleagues had taken time off in the last 2 weeks of December and the first 2 weeks of January, and with not a lot to do, I played the game "at work" since we were working from home. I tried it again in the last month and thoroughly enjoyed it. I played it briefly after I got it, but wasn't really good at it. I got the game for free some time last year as a part of the PS plus subscription. I played the game on the PS and while I prefer playing FPS games on the PC, since the user can take their time and aim, one does not miss the mouse. Sniper Elite 4 is technically not an FPS, but the sniper's view while aiming, which is most of the game, makes it into one. I am now an RPG lover, but have the itch to try out an FPS once in a while. I started gaming with FPS games like Doom, Duke Nukem and Wolfenstein 3D, and thought of myself as an FPS gamer. I am a very patient, patient gamer, who loves to play a game after all the hype has died down, and at my own pace within the game.
